For thousands of years a merciless war has raged between the werewolves and the vampires. This is not just a war over hunting territories, this is the ultimate battle to decide who will rule the world! The war between the werewolves and vampires has also spread to the internet, you too have the chance to join one of the warring parties, perhaps. The game supports 2-3 players with the playable clans of Werewolf, Vampire and Hunter. The story of Werewolf vs. Vampires immerses you into the dark realm of these creatures. Choose from playing as the Vampire seeking to retrieve the potion that will save their race, or the Werewolf who's tracking down the Vampire. These books and movies largely created the current pop-culture obsession with vampires, werewolves, and other mythical creatures. In the 12 years since Twilight first came out, these creatures have dominated popular culture, with everything from The Vampire Diaries to True Blood to Being Human and countless other television shows and movies. In my 2e vampire campaign werewolves were fun and/or terrifying depending on whether you'd crossed them or not. Vampires and wolves lived in the same city, their territories overlapped in many ways and there was a diplomatic position under the city's prince that dealt with 'negotiating' and 'being an ambassador' to the werewolves.
Question:
Why do vampires and werewolves hate each other?
Answer:
According to many modern vampire stories, the vampire and the werewolf are natural enemies. In some stories it has to do with competition for prey, in some the werewolves exist to protect humans from vampires, and in others there is an ancient feud between the two factions that has continued through the centuries.
There's no right or wrong way to tell a story when it comes to vampire and werewolf fiction. If you think about it, these two make great enemies because they are both powerful creatures (especially at night), who are not known to have any other natural predators. Who better to stop a vampire than a werewolf, or vice versa?
Yet, there is a difference between fiction and myth. Myths may well be stories invented by ancient storytellers to explain the world around them, but at the same time there is plenty of evidence to suggest that many myths have their origin in reality. Perhaps it is a matter of perspective at the time, or a way for ancient people to explain supernatural events with their very limited knowledge of science. Either way, a fictional story can take whatever twists and turns it chooses, while a myth has more of a responsibility to maintain the perspective of the original story.
That said, on this site I try to limit the vampire discussion mostly to the concept of the modern vampire. By this I mean combining the various vampire myths across cultures and generations into one core concept of what a modern vampire would look like and how they would function. It would do us no good to include the various fictional vampire stories that have become hugely popular lately, because we know that these don't necessarily follow the rules of classic vampire mythology (I'm talking to you, Stephenie Meyer).
According to vampire and werewolf mythology, there really is no reason to believe that these beings have ever really had any interaction. There are no historical records of such events, and various vampire-based writings have no mention of werewolves whatsoever. I would think that if they were as big of enemies as modern horror authors suggest, there would be some consideration of them somewhere.
Of course, these are both creatures who endeavor to stay hidden from the human race, so who knows for sure if they have interacted or not? I'm not saying it's impossible, but I don't really see any reason to think that they hate each other, or even know each other. It does make a good plot device, though, doesn't it?

Hi all,
I just recently learned about 'Mafia' and 'Werewolves' Party games.. Buy bet craps. Never played either but I have watched some videos from YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&feature=fvwp&v=d8jN-O415TI) and other BGDF members like http://www.bgdf.com/node/8201.
Anyhow I was wondering.. Because of the games being somewhat conducive for parties, I was wondering if we could 'create' a *Vampires vs. Werewolves* game.
There would be 3 sides:
-The citizens of the village (+special characters)
-The vampires which are trying to take over
-The werewolves which are trying to kill everyone
So the rules would be that both the villagers and the werewolves want to kill the *Vampires*. Each night, the Vampires awaken and *bite* another member of the group, who then becomes a Vampire. At the beginning of the game there is only ONE *Vampire*. As the number of werewolves dwindle, the odds become higher that a vampire MAY die (50/50 if only one werewolf left).
The werewolves are brutes and only enjoy killing. Each night, they awaken and their goal is to kill one member of the group. All they know is that a member of the group dies: Vampire or Villager.
Vampire Vs Wolf
Werewolf And Vampire Game
Casino platinum play. The villagers need to have plenty of roles to make this game interesting:
-The doctor
-The detective
-The vampire hunter
-The mystic
-The priest
-MORE..
For example: when the werewolves HUNT a Vampire, the players all (Werewolves and 1 Vampire) place their *Role card* into a bag and then the Vampire picks ONE card. If it is the Vampire, the Vampire DIES. If it is a Werewolf, the werewolf was killed on that night.
OBVIOUSLY the Vampires are more powerful than the Werewolves.. And they are the ones who will MOST likely win the game. That is why it is called *Vampires vs. Werewolves*.
Another example: is once the villagers HANG a Vampire, that player cannot partake in the *day* activities.. For all the others, he/she is dead. BUT that player can partake in the vampires part of the turn..
Vampires Vs Werewolves Game
Anyhow this is just *an idea* as to how to *revive* the game.. with 3 parties instead of just 2.

Anybody have other ideas or want to input/add to this???
